Woman Expresses Frustration Over Messy Kitchen While Living With Sisters-in-Law

A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to express her frustration over the challenges she faces while living in a shared family home with her husband’s relatives.

In an emotional video, the woman said she normally does not come online to talk about her personal life but decided to speak out because she felt overwhelmed.

She showed the condition of the kitchen in her home, pointing to piles of unwashed plates and cooking utensils scattered around the sink and counters.

According to her, she lives in the house with two grown-up sisters-in-law who often leave the kitchen in a messy state.

“In this house, I have two grown-up sisters-in-law, and this is how they always leave the kitchen for me,” she said while displaying the condition of the kitchen.

The woman explained that she woke up early intending to prepare food for her children but discovered there were no clean plates available to use.

She also said the situation happens frequently, adding that even after returning home late at night, she sometimes still finds the kitchen filled with dirty dishes which she has to wash.

The mother of two further revealed that whenever she complains about the issue, she is often told that she talks too much or that she is being too harsh.

According to her, she has tolerated the situation for a long time in order to maintain peace in her marriage and protect her home, but admitted that she is becoming exhausted.

“I’m tired already. This is what living in a family house has cost me,” she said.
