Davido’s old tweet haunts him, as Nigerian Actress shades back

Iyabo Ojo replied Davido, saying he has no moral ground to make such derogatory statement about actresses, being a serial baby daddy himself

Ace Nigerian singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has come under fire after his old derogatory tweet on female Nollywood stars resurfaced online.

Davido in 2011 shared an opinion that Nigerian actresses hide under the cover of Nollywood to advertise their bodies to rich men on the microblogging platform Twitter.

He also added that these female stars earn more from sleeping with wealthy men than earning from their movie roles.

He wrote, “Nollywood is just a way 4 these actresses 2 advertise their goodies 2 rich men… dey make more money banging than acting. Fact.”

Despite the age of the tweet, netizens have frowned at the statement arguing that it amounts to disrespecting women, however, a few of them agreed with him.

Meanwhile, Popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has lashed out at the singer for demeaning actresses, apparently oblivious of the fact that it was an old post.

Reacting to the tweet, she shaded him, saying he had no moral justification to say such a thing being a serial baby daddy himself.

She wrote, “Nooooo aba not from you haha. Abi Shey won hack account e no (was your account hacked ). Not from a serial babydaddy @davido and I like you and your craft o” CONTINUE READING…
