Easter: Oyebamiji Celebrates Christians, Urges Continued Peaceful Coexistence

THE Governorship Candidate of All Progressives Congress APC in the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji popularly called AMBO has rejoiced with Christians in Osun State in particular, Nigeria and across the globe at large on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.

Oyebamiji described the Easter festival as a period of sober reflection commemorating the 40-day fasting and resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after His Crucifixion.

AMBO, in a statement made available to journalists on Friday in Osogbo, called for continued peaceful cohabitation and unconditional love for one another.

The statement read: “Jesus Christ conquered death through His resurrection, demonstrating his power over sin and offering eternal life to all who believe in Him, hence the need to reflect on the significance of the festival by being our brother’s keepers and extending hands of fellowship to one-another during and after the season.

Oyebamiji urged the citizens, especially Christians in the state to remain firm and resolute in their collective decision to electing a progressive party, All Progressives Congress, APC, to government come August 15th, 2026.

He reassured his readiness to run all inclusive, participatory and people-oriented government when elected Governor stating that all faiths will be carried along in the running of the affairs of the state.

According to him, the APC government when elected will do everything within the Constitution to strengthen the bond of unity, peace, love, stability and cohesion between and among the exiting faiths.

“On behalf of my family, I warmly rejoice with our Christian brothers and sisters all over the state and beyond on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration. Easter is a principal festival of the Christians all over the world to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and it is a period of sober reflection and renewed hope. As we celebrate this year’s Easter, I appeal to us all to reflect on our pasts, evaluate our present and project into the future in faith and strong belief. This is the time to extend the hands of fellowship to one another and bring smile to the faces of the needy. This celebratory period calls for renewed hope, strong devotion to God’s services and humanity. I pray God to spare our lives to celebrate more prosperous years on earth. Happy Easter celebration to you all”, Oyebamiji rejoiced.
