Otto Addo, the head coach of Ghana’s national team, has officially announced a 27-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs against Nigeria.
This comes just 24 hours after it was reported that they had yet to release the list of invited players, despite the fact that only four days remained.
The Black Stars will host the Super Eagles this Friday, followed by the rematch four days later in Abuja.
The overall winner of the two legs will be awarded one of five tickets to represent Africa in Qatar.
The standout name on Addo’s list is in-form Arsenal midfield mainstay Thomas Partey.
Daniel Amartey, Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew and Alexander Djiku all made the cut too.
However, captain Andre Ayew and forward Benjamin Tetteh did not make the squad due to their respective suspensions. CONTINUE READING….
