Police nab five, probe assault on beer parlour owner in Osun

THE Osun State Police Command has arrested five suspects in connection to an alleged assault and affray incident at Ori-Eru junction, Iwo.

The command made this known in a statement issued on Tuesday by Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Zungura, following reports circulating on social media alleging police inaction in the matter.

According to the police, the reports were made by human rights activist Nurudeen Ibraheem in collaboration with the children of the victim, Ibironke Arowolo.

The command said a case of assault occasioning harm was initially reported at the Iwo Divisional Police Headquarters by Ayetimiyi Oluwakemi against Ajani Saheed.
