THE Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Hon. Aliyu Yakubu Barde, has died.
He passed away on Tuesday in Lafia after a short illness, according to information from his family.
His burial is expected to take place in his hometown, Wamba, under Islamic rites.
The death of Hon. Barde has left the APC in Nasarawa State in mourning.
Party officials described his passing as a big blow, not only to the APC but to the state as a whole.
Before rising to the position of Deputy Chairman of the APC in the state, Barde served as Interim Management Committee Chairman of Wamba Local Government Area during the tenure of former Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.
