Gov. Adeleke Congratulates OOPA Chairman Lawrence Abioye, Other Excos, Harps on Professionalism

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has congratulated the new leadership of Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA) led by its Chairman, Mr Lawrence Abioye.

The Governor in a statement by his Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed urged the new executives of the association to ensure that OOPA members remain professional and fair, especially as Osun governorship election approaches.

He challenged the association to work with the government in the fight against fake news while also promising the support of the government to the association and its members.

He said, “I wish to congratulate the new leadership of the Osun Online Publishers Association led by its Chairman, Mr Lawrence Abioye.

“I urge the new executive of OOPA to ensure that members of the association remain professional and fair, especially as Osun governorship election approaches.

“Please work together with the government in the fight against fake news. Lets see how we can put an end to it or at best control it.

“On our side as a government, we will make sure that we continue to provide adequate and necessary support to the association and its members as and when due”
