THE Borno State Government has announced the death of the state’s Commissioner for Finance, Ahmad Ali Ahmad, on Monday.
In a statement released by the state Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Usman Tar, it was confirmed that Ahmad died on Monday morning.
According to the statement, “His burial is scheduled for 5 pm on Monday, August 26, 2024, at his family residence on Damboa Road, behind the Indimi residence in Maiduguri.”
It was gathered that the commissioner died inside his room in the morning.
The deceased was said to have exceeded the time he usually comes out in the morning.
His door was then forced open where his corpse was found.
The Babagana Zulum-led administration has lost two commissioners and cabinet members within one year.
VAM News recalls that Engr Ibrahim Idriss Garba, Commissioner for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (RRR) in Borno State, died on 21st October 2023.
