Usman Ododo, governor of Kogi state, has sparked a debate online after he attended a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors’ gala night in Taraba state on Friday.
The Kogi governor, seen in a photograph posted by Ahmadu Fintiri, governor of Adamawa, on X on Saturday, was wearing similar attire to his colleagues in the PDP.
“Yesterday, after our PDP Governors Forum meeting, AgbuKefas hosted a vibrant Gala Night showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Taraba,” Fintiri said in the post.
“From the colourful displays to the captivating performances, it was truly a night to remember. Thank you, Taraba, for your warm hospitality!”
The PDP governors’ gala night was on the same day the supreme court affirmed the election victory of Ododo, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the duly elected governor of Kogi.
The apex court had dismissed the appeal of Murtala Ajaka, governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the state, who had challenged Ododo’s victory.
Though Ododo attended a wedding ceremony of the daughter of the Taraba governor, his presence among the PDP governors has elicited reactions online.
