Osun SDP denies rumours of collapsed structure for AA

Voice Air Media, News Update

THE Osun State Chairman of the Social Democratic Party has countered that the Party doesn’t not in anyway collapsed its structure into the Action Alliance.

The party in a statement issued by its Chairman, Alhaji Yunus Gbadamosi described the report as “misinformation and attempts to cause confusion within the SDP.

According to Gbadamosi, the SDP structures from the State to local government areas to wards are still intact, stating that only three persons defected to AA based on their “personal reasons”.

He said the Secretary of the Party, Ms. Yinka Oni has informed other Executives that the landlord of the secretariat has turned down renewal of rent before now.

Gbadamosi said, “The structure of the SDP remains intact in Osun State and will not be collapsed into any other party, as suggested by recent rumors.

“It is true that the Secretary, Ms. Yinka Oni, along with two others, have defected to a faction of Action Alliance for personal reasons.

However, it must be noted that she misled the party and took over the office for her new party without authorization. Our rent was due in July 2024, and we intended to pay; however, Ms. Oni informed us that the property owner was not willing to renew our tenancy and further claimed that they would not rent to a political party. Little did we know that she had a hidden agenda.

“I, Alhaji Yunus Gbadamosi, am the only recognized Chairman of the SDP in Osun State and any misinformation from some set of people are just what they are – misinformation.”
