Olobu of Ilobu, Oba Ashiru Olatoye Olaniyan Commences 50th Coronation Anniversary
Osun Monarch, Olobu of Ilobu in Irepodun Local Government, Oba Ashiru Olatoye Olaniyan II (JP) to commence 50th Coronation Anniversary on May 12th at the palace ground with a Press Conference to be addressed by the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Alhaji Abdulwahab Falowo.
Among other salient issues, Alhaji Falowo will highlight the series of other programmes lined up to herald the jubilee anniversary of the foremost traditional ruler.
A statement jointly signed by the Chairman and the Secretary of the Committee, Alhaji Ishaq Awotunde, indicates that a two week long programmes lined up with series of activities will start from the 12th of this month, with the Grand Finale on the 25th and end with a thanks giving service on the 26th.
While highlighting the activities, Alhaji AbdulWahab Falowo listed them to include a brief Historical Background of the ancient town, Education Summit, Medical outreach, Sporting Activities, Royal Homages, Inter Religious Prayers and Conferment of Chieftaincy Titles on some eminent and deserving personalities across the globe, including HE, the Osun state Governor, Senator Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke.
It would be recalled that,Oba Ashiru Olatoye Olaniyan ascended the throne of his forefathers, five decades ago and has since worked tirelessly to promote peace, progress and human development in Ilobu.
His commitment to education, healthcare, and infrastructure has transformed the ancient town to a thriving one placed elegantly at a vantage position of the Nigerian and Africa’s and the world at large.
