‘You’re A Patriotic Democrat’, Gov. Adeleke Hails Oyinlola At Birthday Ceremony

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has described one of his predecessors, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola as a patriotic democrat whose contributions to the development of Osun state cannot be under-estimated.

The governor represented at the birthday programme of the former governor by his Special Adviser, Hon Kamarudeen Ajisafe said the Okuku born prince is a symbol of democracy and good governance, listing several land breaking achievements that occurred under the watch of the former governor.

The governor who is out of the state for a critical economic engagement said his administration appreciates the local, national and international contributions of Prince Oyinlola to state and national development, adding “we value and honour you as a symbol of good governance and patriotic living.

“Locally and nationally, you remain a respected voice who continues to serve as a voice of stability and peaceful co-existence. In difficult times, you stand out as a voice of reasoning and reconciliation.

“In conflict situations, you de-escalate tension and bring people together for consensus. Your ways have been that of an honest peacemaker who has significantly supported our efforts to take Osun to greater heights.

“In my decades of relationship with your Excellency, you have earned my confidence as an elder statesman, a genuine counsellor and an ardent supporter of good governance.You are a rare breed of politician Osun and Nigeria is lucky to have at the material time.

“I pray the good lord grant you more blessed years of service to the fatherland. We wish you more successes and positive living as you climb more decades of service to our people”, the governor was quoted as saying.
