“More Evidence Indicts Banik as public record reveals.

“The media office of the Special Adviser on Political Matters to Governor Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke, Alhaji Muniru Raji seize this medium to appreciates members of the public for their keen interest in knowing the truth behind the frivolous petition submitted to the Commissioner of Police against our principal, Alhaji Muniru Raji.

“1) Yes, it is true that one Adeleke Adebayo aka Banik a former Commissioner of Local Government during Oyetola’s reign wrote a face saving petition to the Osun State Commissioner of Police.
The petition was an attempted denial that he was never awarded any contract by the Omo-Oba Olagunsoye Oyinlola Government.

“Subsequently, the Nigerian Police informed Alhaji Muniru that a petition was submitted to its office against him. It is on record that Alhaji Muniru was not arrested nor was he detained.

“However, in their character as opposition who thrive on propaganda, sympathizers of Banik as usual went on media charade, spewing all manners of derogatory information against Alhaji Muniru Raji.

“Ordinarily, we would have considered the wicked blackmailings as political banters, but because Banik has attempted to cover the truth with lies by writing to the Nigerian Police, we want to assure members of the public that every action affecting this matter shall be taken into account and we shall respond accordingly.

“2) We want to state categorically that our principal’s remark that Banik abandoned the contract he was awarded during the Prince Oyinlola Government has indeed been substantiated by public records that are now available for public scrutiny.

“3) Interestingly, Banik memory was sharp to think that the said contract, a massive project for the rehabilitation of Igbonna Market – Agowande – Oke Oniti ring road was after all awarded in the name of Toniade Construction Company A Division of Banik Investment Company Limited. It is however laughable that Banik in his wide imagination thought a project of that magnitude would be freely awarded by a State Government without proper documentation and records domiciled at the supervising ministry.

“Again, we suspect that Banik maybe suffering from partial memory loss for him to have forgotten the said Toniade Construction Company is a division of Banik Investment Company Limited, a company he is by law, a Director as at that time and funny enough, payment in batches for the execution of the project was paid directly to Banik.
“We are coming!”
