A corps member identified as Bright has reportedly died at the Osun State orientation camp of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
According to his colleagues, Bright reportedly went to bed and didnt wake up the following morning.
“He slept day before yesterday night and couldn’t wake up in the morning,” one Lawrence Echezona said on Sunday, July 23, 2023.

In other news, Adamawa police have detained a lady and her boyfriend for reportedly killing their infant and dumping the body in a dumpster on July 8, in Yola.
Blessing Ben and Luka Iliyasu, the suspects, were believed to have been together for two years before the girl became pregnant.
According to SP Suleiman Yahaya-Nguroje, spokesperson of the Police Command, “Blessing was put in a family way by her boyfriend, Luka a resident of Police barracks Yola, after two years of courtship”.
On Tuesday, he informed reporters in Yola that Blessing, who lives in the Jambutu region of Yola North Local Government region, had denied murdering the baby, alleging that it was born prematurely.
“I had a safe and peaceful delivery but the baby was lifeless hence my decision to dump it in the dustbin.
When I discovered that it was a stillbirth, I kept the corpse for two days before I dumped it in the dustbin and even my aunt whom I have been living with did not know that I was pregnant for nine months,” she told newsmen.
