Breaking: Tinubu to be screened today, Jonathan missing on the list

Frontline APC presidential aspirant, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is slated for screening today on Day One of the exercise.

Tinubu, who is also the national leader of the All Progressives Congress is among the 23 hopeful that will be scrutinised in the two-day exercise.

He is listed as No. 10.

But conspicuously missing on the list is former President Goodluck Jonathan, being dragged in the media by a cabal as a ‘consensus’ APC candidate.

The campaign for Jonathan has been slammed as an insult to the founders and members of the APC, seven years after the party ousted Jonathan and the PDP in the 2015 election.

The rumours of Jonathan contesting the APC ticket began after a so-called northern coalition bought the APC presidential expression of interest and nomination forms for him.

Despite the former president denying interest, the rumour persisted and was given another life by fables he would be fielded as consensus candidate.

Below are the names of the presidential hopefuls for screening as listed by APC.

Chukwuemeka Uwaezuoke Nwajiuba

Badaru Abubakar

Robert A. Boroffice

Uju Ken-Ohanenye

Nicholas Felix

Nweze David Umahi

Ken Nnamani

Gbolahan B. Bakare
