Ahead of the Osun July 16 governorship election, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has dissolved Osun state executives.
The party also announced names of the new Caretaker Committee who will be in charge of the party for few months.
Announcing PDP’s decision, the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba disclosed this in a press statement he signed on Saturday.
The statement reads “The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great Party has approved the composition of a Caretaker Committee to run the affairs of the Osun State Chapter of our Party.
“This follows the expiration of the tenure of the State Executive Committee of Osun State Chapter.
The Osun Caretaker Committee is to manage the affairs of the Party in Osun State from Friday, April 8, 2022 for a period not exceeding 90 days (3 months) or till such a time a new State Executive Committee will be elected in the State.
“The members of the Osun State Caretaker Committee are as follows:
Dr. Adekunle Akindele Chairman
Otunba Femi Carena = Secretary
Barr. Niyi Owolade = Member
Chief (Mrs) Ayobola Fadeyi Awolowo = Member
Dr. B.T. Salami = Member
Engr. Adetoye Ogunboyega Member
