2 Students, Others Kidnapped As Gunmen Invade University Community In Nasarawa

Two students of the Federal University Lafia, Nasarawa State have been abducted by unknown gunmen, who were suspected to be kidnappers.

VAM News learnt that the incident occurred on Saturday night when the assailants invaded the university’s host community.

It was gathered that the attackers stormed the area with sophisticated weapons, shooting sporadically before whisking the victims away to an unknown destination.

According to reports the gunmen also abducted one Hon. Yahaya Adams from the community during the attack.

When contacted, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer Ramhan Nansel confirmed the incident.

According to him, the command has contacted the school management and has commenced an investigation into the attack.

He said, “We have met with the institution’s public relations officer, PRO and investigation is currently ongoing”.
