Osun PDP Inaugurates Disciplinary Committee As Internal Crisis Continues To Erupt

In furtherance of the query served on some officials of the Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by the Sunday Bisi-led State Executive Committee, the party has gone ahead to inaugurate a disciplinary committee for further actions.

This was made known in the remark of the party chairman, Sunday Bisi, during the inauguration of the disciplinary committee of the party on Friday.

Bisi recalled that the party, had through the State Executive Committee, asked some officials of the party to offer explanations on why they had absconded from duties expected of their respective office since October, 2020.

The party chairman stressed that since the PDP, as a political organisation, is predicated on the rule of law in line with the constitution of Nigeria, a party inching to rescue Osun State cannot afford to condone wanton indiscipline.

In his words, “The PDP as a political organization, is predicated on the rule of law, in line with the constitution of our country. This constittution as a matter of fact is tailored towards entrenching discipline in tandem with goals and objectives of the party. A party inching to rescue our dear state for instance, cannot afford to condone wanton indiscipline.

“Therefore, all of us saddled with the responsibilities of one office or the other are expected to discharge those functions as a matter of duty. Any action or inaction contrary to this is a wicked disservice to our party which will no longer be tolerated.

“In the light of this and furtherance to the query issued the concerned officials, a displinary Committee is hereby inaugurated for further actions. Members of the Committee are mandated to act in line with the relevant provisions of our party constittution without fear or favour.”

Members of the disciplinary committee the chairman revealed include: Barrister Jola Akintola – Chairman, Akin Ajetunmobi – Member, Barrister Hashim Abioye – Member, Barrister Taofeek Olayiwola – Member, Moshood Yakub -Member, Alhaji Liadi Gbadamosi – Member and Kola Adewusi – Member.

Recall that early in the week, the Osun PDP led by Sunday Bisi had issued queries to some of its officials bothering of negligence.

The query was however described as having no effect as it did not enjoy the backing of the party constitution by the ousted chairman, Olasoji.
