RCCG Liberation Cathedral, Osogbo Unveils Activities To Mark 60th Anniversary

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Osogbo known as the Liberation Cathedral, has unveiled activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the Church in a grand style.

VAM News gathered that the year-long celebration designed to commemorate the church’s special anniversary as one of the earliest Osogbo branches, the Osun state capital established in the year 1961.

It will feature activities that include conference, Revival, 6 hours praise & worship and anniversary Thanksgiving and many other fascinating lineups that will enrich participants spiritually and physically.

Announcing this in a service in the church auditorium; No 8, Adejumo Street, Alekunwodo Oshogbo, Osun state, recently, the organizing committee in a statement disclosed that the programme of event will accompanied the mandate of the new Church building project, to start soon.

Speaking at the sunday service, the assistant provincial pastor, Pastor Bamidele Fase, said some important dignitaries in the state and society is coming down to Osogbo to commemorate with the church, celebrate purpose and show love to others.

According to him, “The theme for the 60th anniversary which is ‘Divine Purpose’ and we shall celebrate it in grand style for God’s love that has kept us together since the church that started 60 years ago remains and still waxing strong.”

Also speaking, Pastor Femi Opatayo, The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Liberation cathedral Osogbo, has distinguished itself in many ways, the church has nurtured and groomed sons and daughters of Christ since inception sixty years ago, Its membership has grown in leaps and bounds and has continued to wax stronger in its evangelical and revivalistic mission; to make heaven, to take as many people with us and to have a member of RCCG in every family of all nations which is the fulcrum of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

Guest includes; Pastor Odekunle Emmanuel (Province Evangelist (Kwara 4), Pastor Olaleye(PICP Osun 7) and Pastor Olajide Oluwatobi (PICP Osun 1).

Also, Deborah Ilesanmi, Femi Alao and Fola Eden will be live at the programme, time is 5pm daily(Monday to Friday); whereas Monday-Tuesday is Workers conference, Wednesday – Friday is for Revival, Saturday is for the 6hours Praise & worship by 6am to 12pm and Anniversary Thanksgiving on Sunday, 11th July, 2021 by 9am.

Despite the physical and spiritual enriching programmes outlined, there will be reunion. “You will agree with me that it isn’t easy for a church to clock sixty. Another important event is the anniversary Thanksgiving service, which the members of the church will put on their white attire, Pastor Fase said.
