EID-EL-FITR: Osun Online Publishers Felicitates with Muslim Ummah
The Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA) extends its warmest congratulations to the Muslim Ummah in Osun State and across Nigeria on the joyous occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Fitr celebration, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement issued in Osogbo and made available to journalists, the Chairman of the Association, Mukhtar Ajelogbon, commended Muslims for their dedication, discipline, and spiritual commitment throughout the 30-day fasting period. He noted that Ramadan represents a time of deep reflection, self-restraint, compassion, and renewed devotion to the values of peace, unity, and generosity.
Ajelogbon urged the faithful to sustain the virtues imbibed during Ramadan beyond the festive period, emphasizing the importance of continuous adherence to righteousness, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence. He encouraged Muslims to remain steadfast in prayers and to uphold the spirit of sacrifice and humility that defines the holy month.
The Association’s chairman further called on the Muslim community to intensify prayers for the continued peace, stability, and development of Osun State, particularly as the state approaches its forthcoming governorship election. He stressed that peaceful conduct before, during, and after the electoral process is essential for the progress and unity of the state.
The Osun Online Publishers Association reaffirmed its commitment to responsible journalism and the promotion of values that foster unity, peace, and democratic growth within society.
Once again, the Association wishes all Muslims a joyful and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
Eid Mubarak.
