Panic In Osun Community As Bandits Demand N20 Million, Threatens To Hit Residents

Residents of Olofa way, Ofatedo community in Egbedore Local Government Area, Osun State are living in palpable fear after some suspected bandits threatened to invade the community and kill them all.

VAM News learnt that the bandits informed the residents in a handwritten letter on three pieces of papers dropped at strategic places in the community.

The three letters written in English and Yoruba languages read: ” We are informing you that we are coming to invade your community and we are visiting every household or contribute N20 million to your community chairman when we come, you will hand it over to us.”

Others read: “We will kill all the hunters that attempt to waylay us, we are coming fully armed and your security will be killed.”

Following the discovery of the letters, residents of the area have been living in fear with some already relocating.

The Field Commandant of Osun Amotekun, Amitolu Shittu, confirmed the development.

He called for calm in the area noting the outfit has beefed up security in the area.
