Nigerian President Buhari’s son Yusuf set to marry Kano princess Zahra Bayero

President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a delegation to meet with the Kano royal family and set date for the wedding of his son, Yusuf with Zahra Bayero, Daily Nigerian reports.

Sources told the Newspaper that the delegation is composed of governors, ministers and the director-general of the State Security Service, Yusuf Bichi.

It was gathered that the advance team had already arrived in Kano on Saturday afternoon with bales of kolanut and other articles for the wedding date-fixing formalities.

The delegation is billed to meet with the patriarch of the Bayero family, Idris Bayero, and the emir of Kano, Aminu Bayero, on Sunday.

On March 24, DAILY NiGERIAN exclusively broke the news of the planned wedding of the president’s son with Zahra Bayero, the daughter of Emir of Bichi in Kano State, Nasiru Bayero.

Miss Bayero is currently a bachelor’s student in the United Kingdom, studying architecture.

Yusuf is a 2016 graduate of University of Surrey, Guildford, United Kingdom.

On December 27, 2017, DAILY NIGERIAN first broke the story of Yusuf’s ghastly power bike accident around Gwarinpa area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

He was stabilized for about a month at an Abuja hospital before he was flown abroad for treatment. He returned to Nigeria from the medical trip on March 1, 2018.

He remains reclusive after miraculously surviving the powerbike crash.
