South Africa’s Tyla called out over decision to perform in Nigeria

News Update

Nigerian singer Jaywon has joined growing online calls demanding that South African Grammy winner Tyla cancel her upcoming performances in Nigeria.

Jaywon criticized the “Water” singer for her alleged silence during incidents where foreigners were attacked and their properties destroyed in South Africa.

In a social media post, he argued that she should remain in her home country rather than perform in Nigeria at this time, declaring the current climate unsuitable for her visit.
