THE leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Youth Wing in Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State has affirmed Hon. Oyewole Aderemi, popularly known as “Gulder”, as the rightful consensus candidate and winner of the party’s primary election for the Idanre State Constituency seat.
In a press statement issued on Thursday, July 24, 2026 and signed by the Idanre APC Youth Leader, Hon. Akinwa Afolabi, popularly called “Afod”, the youth leaders said the endorsement followed consultations across all 10 wards in the local government and engagements with party stakeholders and youths.
The statement was issued on behalf of the 10 Ward Youth Leaders and Idanre APC youths at large.
According to the youth leadership, Hon. Gulder’s emergence reflects the collective will of APC youth leaders and the generality of APC youths in Idanre.
They cited three key reasons for their endorsement:
1. Proven Leadership Quality: Described him as a unifier and visionary with the capacity to represent Idanre with dignity and deliver results.
2. Long-standing Youth Advocacy: Noted that Hon. Gulder has for years been a consistent voice for youth empowerment, inclusion, and development.
3. Proven Grassroots Mobilization: Stated that he is a tested mobilizer with structures across all wards and units, and the capacity to deliver victory for the APC.
“We are convinced that Hon. Gulder embodies the energy, accessibility, and acceptability required to effectively represent Idanre State Constituency at the Ondo State House of Assembly,” the statement read.
The youth leaders called on all APC leaders, stakeholders, and members in Idanre to close ranks and rally behind Hon. Oyewole Aderemi “Gulder” as the party’s candidate.
Addressing Idanre youths, they added: “The mandate is ours. Let us mobilize massively. This is our time. This is our candidate. This is our victory.”
The endorsement comes amid calls on the APC National and State leadership to uphold the outcome of the primary election and resist attempts to overturn the will of party members.
