Farmers in Idanre Local Government have thrown their weight behind Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye, popularly known as Small Alhaji, as preparations for the next election cycle gather pace.
Speaking on behalf of the farmers, Hon. Akinwole King Solomon revealed that the farming community has unanimously agreed not only to support Adefisoye but also to purchase his nomination form as a strong show of commitment to his candidacy.
According to him, the decision followed extensive consultations among stakeholders within the farming community. He noted that the move goes beyond mere endorsement, describing it as a deliberate effort to correct what he termed a “mistake” made during the 2023 elections.
“We have resolved as farmers in Idanre to stand firmly behind Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye. This time, we are not just supporting him in words; we are taking responsibility by purchasing his nomination form. We are ready to vote right,” he said.
Hon. Akinwole King Solomon emphasized that the upcoming election presents an opportunity for the people to make a different choice, adding that the farmers are fully mobilized and determined to ensure their collective decision reflects at the polls.
The move underscores a growing wave of grassroots support for Adefisoye within the constituency, with political observers noting that the backing of a critical group like farmers could significantly influence the outcome of the elections.
