President Tinubu’s Economic Reforms Taking Nigeria To Greater Heights – Says Chief Tunde Badmus

A foremost Islamic Leader, business tycoon and renowned Nigeria’s philanthropist, Asiwaju Musulumi of Yoruba-land, Edo and Delta States, Chief Khamis Olatunde Badmus has affirmed that the ongoing socioeconomic reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been driving the nation to greater heights.

The business tycoon underscored the positive impact of the reforms across sectors describing it unprecedented in the history of the country.

Chief Badmus spoke on Friday shortly after observing 2026 Eid-el-fitr prayers at Osogbo central Eid praying ground.

He acknowledged the gains recorded by the President Tinubu’s led federal government particularly in commerce, education, health and infrastructure developments.

“Sincerely, President Tinubu should be commended for turning around the nation’s economy since the inception of his administration. We all knew the positive impacts of the ongoing economic reforms on both formal and informal sectors. As at today, i make bold to say that the nation’s economy is thriving and the nation is moving forward under the present administration.

“Those in the formal and informal sectors can testify to this. For instance, today, a labourer can not take home less than N10,000 and this is the same in the formal sector. Our economy is indeed thriving and i commend him for taking the bull by the horns”, Chief Badmus stated

He appealed to the federal government to further look into the wage and salary of workforce so as to consummate the prices of commodities in the market.

“As at today, purchasing power of workforce needs to be worked on so as to consummate what they buy in the market. If a labourer could get as much as 10,000 to 15,000 daily from work done, hence the need to improve on that of the civil or public servants too”, he stated.

Speaking on the successful completion of the Presidential visit to United Kingdom, Chief Badmus extolled the unprecedented reception accorded President Tinubu by the UK government, describing it as unparalleled.

He lauded the bilateral relationship between the duo countries particularly the approval of about a billion Euro by UK government to develop Nigeria’s Apapa and Tin Can seaports.

Chief Badmus asserted that the monetary partnership would impact greatly in the Nigeria’s economy by boosting maritime sector in the country.

According to him, the signed deal of 746m Euro between Nigeria and UK to upgrade Apapa and Tin Can seaports would help to spur socioeconomic growth and real development in the Nigeria’s maritime sector.

“This is a good news for us in the country. The approval of humongous resources to advance the cause of our ports will go along way to advance our waterways and by implication gives room for sailing of heavy cargos and ships”, he added.

The Islamic leader rejoiced with Muslims across the world in general, Africa and Nigeria in particular on the successful completion of Ramadan fasting and celebration of Eid -el-fitr.

” I celebrate our people in Islam across the globe on this year’s Eid -el-fitr. This is a time for sober reflection to abstain from all forbidden by Allah and do more on what He commanded us to be doing. Let’s be our brother’s keepers, let’s extend hands of fellowship to one-another during this festive period and beyond”, Chief Badmus advocated.

The Eid prayers were performed by the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, Executive Director Marine and Operations, Engr. Olalekan Badmus, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Protocol, Alhaji Issah Niniola, former Osogbo State Constituency lawmaker, Hon. Taofeek Badamosi Abolubode, APC House of Reps aspirant, Hon. Abdul-Rasheed Muideen (Romeo), Chairman Osogbo Local Government Area, Hon.
