THE Acting Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Olatunji Disu, has declared that the era of impunity within the Nigeria Police Force is over.
Disu made the announcement on Wednesday while addressing State House correspondents shortly after his swearing-in by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The police chief recounted that President Tinubu’s acknowledgment of his career achievements and past successes as a police officer was deeply emotional, almost bringing him to tears.
On his approach to leadership, Disu stated, “I will let officers and men know that the era of impunity is over. I will ensure that I train and encourage them to uphold human rights.”
