Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Bimbo Ademoye, has raised alarm over a copyright claim placed on her YouTube movie Where Love Lives, which she said has led to the demonetisation of the movie on the platform.
Ademoye alleged that an individual identified as Emmanuel Davies falsely claimed ownership of a song used in the film, despite her assertion that she holds full rights to the soundtrack.
The actress further claimed that the same individual uploaded the song to Spotify and other streaming platforms, listing himself as the composer.
Where Love Lives, released in December 2025, has recorded over 18 million views on YouTube.

Reacting in a series of posts on her Instagram page on Saturday, Ademoye expressed frustration over the development and issued an ultimatum, demanding that the copyright claim be removed immediately.
“But Emmanuel, you have one hour to lift that copyright from my movie. A song I completely own the rights to, you took it, uploaded it, named yourself the composer and blocked me from making money from my own sweat,” she wrote.
She also warned of consequences if the issue was not resolved, calling on anyone familiar with the individual or associated platforms to intervene.
The actress added that the incident was not the first copyright-related dispute she had encountered, noting that she was already pursuing another individual over a similar issue.
