Rivers Lawmakers set to serve Fubara, Deputy impeachment notice

THE Rivers State House of Assembly has resolved to serve Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his Deputy, Ngozi Nma Odu their impeachment notice within the next seven days.

Voice Air Media had reported that the assembly on Thursday commenced Fubara’s impeachment processes.

Major Jack, the leader of the State Assembly, read the gross misconduct charges against Governor Fubara and his Deputy during an emergency plenary on Thursday.

At least 26 members of the house moved for the governor’s impeachment.

The Speaker, Martins Amaewhule, said the notice of gross misconduct will be served to Governor Fubara and his Deputy in the next 7 days.
