At least four European clubs have reacted to Nigeria’s victory against Tunisia at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, tournament in Morocco.
VAM reports that Nigeria defeated the North Africans 3-2 in Saturday’s AFCON tie to qualify for the Round of 16 stage.
Goals from Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi and Lookman Ademola gave the Super Eagles the victory against Tunisia.
The outcome of the result means Nigeria tops Group C with 6 points from two games, while Tunisia sits in second and Tanzania and Uganda occupy the last two positions with a point each.
Reacting, Sevilla, who have two Nigerian players – Adams Akor and Chidera Ejuke – in their squad, wrote on X: “Akor and Ejuke both featured as Nigeria booked their place in the Round of 16 following a 3-2 win against Tunisia.”
Also reacting, Atalanta, who have Ademola in their team, also wrote: “The Super Eagles fly into the AFCON 2025 round of 16. Ademola Lookman starred with a goal and two assists against Tunisia.”
