Lady dies inside hotel after lodging with man in Ondo

Yet-to-be-identified young lady was found dead inside a popular hotel whose name has been withheld, in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government area of Ondo State.

The incident, which has thrown the community into shock, was discovered late in the afternoon after hotel staff entered the room when repeated knocks went unanswered.

The hotel, located along the busy Ore–Okitipupa Road and known as a regular stop for travellers and locals, became a scene of distress when workers found the lady lying motionless on the bed, with no visible signs of violence.

A source told Journalist that the deceased had checked into the hotel with a man identified as Sodiq Ganiyu, reportedly to spend the night.

“The two were seen together earlier in the day, but when staff gained access to the room, the lady was found unresponsive,” the source said.

Ganiyu allegedly fled the scene shortly after the discovery, leaving no immediate clue as to his whereabouts.

A security source, who confirmed the development, said the lady’s body has been deposited at the Ore morgue.

Preliminary examinations revealed no external injuries, but a full autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
