Chelsea thrash Barcelona, Manchester City suffer champions league loss

Chelsea pulled off one of the results in the Champions League on Tuesday night, after they thrashed Barcelona 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues were lucky not to be behind early, after Ferran Torres fumbled the chance to open the scoring.

Enzo Maresca’s men also saw Enzo Fernandez’s goal ruled out, before a Jules Kounde own goal gave them the lead.

Barcelona were reduced to 10 men before half time, as the referee showed Ronald Araujo a second yellow card.

Across the UK, Manchester City lost 2-0 to Bayer Leverkusen, while Newcastle threw away a one-goal lead to lose 2-1 at Marseille.

Juventus edged a five-goal thriller against Bodo/Glimt, winning 3-2 in Norway and Borussia Dortmund thrashed Villarreal 4-0.
