A Kano State High Court on Miller Road has ordered that one Idris Kurma, be remanded in a correctional facility for allegedly strangling his wife, Aisha, after she reportedly refused to prepare kuli-kuli (groundnut cake).
Kurma appeared before Justice Musa Dahiru on a charge of culpable homicide, contrary to Section 221 of the Penal Code, as presented by the prosecuting counsel, Barrister Lamido Abba Soron Dinki.
The accused pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to him, prompting the court to adjourn the matter to December 12, 2025, for continuation of hearing.
