The Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA) on Thursday inaugurated new executives to drive its affairs for the next two years after Mukhtar Ajelogbon’s administration, which served from March 2024 to March 2026, bowed out as Tosin Lawrence Abioye took over as Chairman.
The swear-in ceremony was performed in Osogbo on Thursday, March 27, 2026, by the Electoral Committee Secretary, Jamiu Babatunde of Entrust Reporters.
The association held its election on Saturday, February 28, 2026, and elected Comrade Abioye Tosin Lawrence, Publisher of Oriontimes News, as Chairman, and Idowu Abass of Idealgist News as Vice Chairman.
Other executives include; Adekale Babatunde (Spyloaded Media) as General Secretary and Fatai Akanji (Adulawo News) as Financial Secretary.
In his inaugural speech, the new association Chairman thanked members for the opportunity, reaffirming his commitment to enhancing OOPA’s growth.
He said, “OOPA is not just raising publishers; it’s raising leaders. As these voices grow, so will the influence of the institution that shaped them.
Voice Air Media recalls that Comrade Abioye Tosin Lawrence previously served as Vice Chairman under Jare Tiamiyu in 2022.
OOPA’s past Chairmen include; Ayobami Agboola (Publisher, City Mirror), the late Adesoji Omosebi (Publisher, SOJ Worldwide News), and Jare Tiamiyu (Publisher, Insight Media).
