LAUTECH: Gov Adeleke Eulogies Professor Lukuman Jimoda Adekilekun Over Landmark Inaugural Lecture

THE Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has extended warm commendation to Special Adviser on Mining and Mineral Matters, Professor Lukuman Jimoda Adekilekun on the occasion of his forthcoming 68th Inaugural Lecture at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.

In a congratulatory message issued by his Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke described Professor Adekilekun as “a man of uncommon intellect, exemplary character, and patriotic zeal, whose scholarship and public service have brought pride to Osun State.”

The Governor praised Professor Adekilekun’s pivotal role in repositioning the mining sector in Osun State, highlighting how his visionary ideas and pragmatic approach have strengthened mineral resource management, fostered sustainable practices, and created new opportunities for economic growth.

The governor listed the extraordinary progress recorded in Osun mining sector reforms such as the achievements of Osun shareholding in the global Thor Explorations firm, the owner of Segilola Gold project among others.

“Professor Adekilekun is not just an academic luminary, but also a reform-minded technocrat whose work bridges knowledge and governance,” Governor Adeleke stated.

“His inaugural lecture is a celebration of intellect, service, and dedication to the betterment of society.”

Governor Adeleke urged the academic community, stakeholders in the mining sector, and citizens of Osun State to celebrate this milestone and draw inspiration from Professor Adekilekun’s outstanding achievements in both research and public administration.
