Police React on Viral Video of Travellers attack in Osun

The attention of Osun State Police Command has been drawn to a viral video trending on social media showing a man who was allegedly attacked by bandit at Omi funfun area, Ora Igbomina, Osun State.

The Police Command wishes to clarify and inform the general public that, the trending video on social media has nothing to do with Osun State.
The alleged attack occurred on 18th August, 2025 around Rore/Arandun area, Kwara State.

The Command therefore, enjoins the general public to disregard the viral video/information and warns against tagging such video which happened in another State to have happened in Osun State and spreading or peddling of unconfirmed/unverified story/news.

However, the Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, CP Ibrahim Gotan, mnips has put stringent security measure in place by deploying the Command Tactical squads and intelligence at the various borders of Neighboring States to reinforce security in Osun State.
