Former lawmaker who represented Adamawa North Senatorial District, Elisha Abbo, has decried that he left the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC, without consulting God in prayers.
This was as he revealed that he had learnt his lesson and fasted and prayed for 31 days seeking God’s guidance on his next political move.
The former lawmaker, in a post via his official X handle on Friday, Abbo said when he dumped the PDP for the APC in 2020, he did not seem spiritual guidance.
“In 2020, I left PDP for APC without praying and asking God’s direction on which party to join
“I left for tangible reasons and raw instincts and joined APC out of human judgment and to flow with the tide,” he said.
Abbo was first elected to the senate in 2019 on the platform of the PDP before defecting to the APC in 2020.
He was re-elected in 2023 under the platform of the APC but the court sacked him and declared the candidate of the PDP, Amos Yohanna, the authentic winner.
