Media Parley: Osun Online Publishers Association Hosts INEC REC Agboke on Thursday

THE Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA) will host Dr. Mutiu Olaleke Agboke, Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osun State, at the 9th edition of its Media Parley, scheduled for Thursday, August 28, 2025.

The theme of the Media Parley, “INEC’s Preparation Towards Osun 2026 Gubernatorial Election”, aims to provide a platform for in-depth discussion on the commission’s readiness for the upcoming 2026 governorship polls, including ongoing voter registration and PVC-related matters.

According to a statement by OOPA Chairman, Mukhtar Ajelogbon on Tuesday in Osogbo, the session will take place at the association’s Secretariat located at Ajegunle Area Osogbo, starting at 12:00noon.

The guest, Dr. Agboke is expected to address critical electoral issues affecting the state and share insights into INEC’s plans to ensure free, fair, and credible elections. The event will also offer members of the credible media platforms an opportunity for direct engagement with the electoral body.

The general public is invited to follow the conversation via a live stream on the official Facebook page of the Osun Online Publishers.
