…Charges staff to reflect the Governor’s Ease Agenda in service delivery
The Ondo State Ministry of Culture and Tourism began the month of August in an atmosphere of thanksgiving, unity, and renewed dedication to service, as staff gathered for a praise and worship session at the iconic Adegbemile Cultural Center on Friday morning.
The spiritually charged session, which marked the first official workday of the month, brought together personnel across all departments to appreciate God and commit the new month into His hands.
Addressing the gathering, the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Afolabi Adesoji, reaffirmed the commitment of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to the revival and advancement of culture and tourism in the state, describing the sector as a critical component of the administration’s broader development agenda.
“Culture and tourism revival are central to Governor Aiyedatiwa’s vision for a prosperous Ondo State,” the Commissioner stated. “We are not here by routine. We are here because we believe that, through this ministry, we can preserve our identity, drive economic growth, empower communities, and project the rich heritage of our people to the world.”
Hon. Afolabi praised the staff for their discipline, punctuality, and commitment to duty, urging them to continue aligning their daily efforts with the Governor’s Ease Agenda, which promotes efficiency, innovation, and people-focused governance.
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Adeyemi O. Sule, also expressed satisfaction with the turnout and spirit of the staff. He noted that the prayer session demonstrated not only gratitude but also the unity of purpose required to reposition the Ministry as a key driver of tourism and cultural revitalization in the state.
As August unfolds, the Ministry is poised to roll out new initiatives targeted at heritage promotion, cultural programming, and sustainable tourism development, all in support of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s mission to make Ondo State a top destination for culture and tourism in Nigeria and beyond.
