Omokri talks tough, sends powerful message to Obi — “Bring your family to protest against Tinubu”

Social media influencer Reno Omokri says Nigerians will only take Labour Party stalwart Peter Obi seriously if he can bring his wife and children to join him in his protest against President Bola Tinubu.

In a Facebook post, Omokri accused Obi of disrespecting Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) and the Niger Delta by using the occasion of the Night of Tribute to  “insult the President and undermine the Government.”

He wrote: “We have repeatedly told PANDEF and the Niger Delta that Peter Obi does not respect them and is only using them. Look at how he went to Pa Edwin Clark’s Night of Tribute and turned it into a political campaign ground to insult the President and undermine the Government.

“Would Peter Obi have done that at the funeral or commemoration of Dim Emeka Ojukwu, Alex Ekwueme, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, or any Igbo politician?

“How can you use such a solemn event to incite Nigerians to protest against their own government? A government that just paid of Nigeria’s entire debt to the International Monetary Fund, which was taken by previous administrations?

“A government under whom Peter Obi’s bank just made times three of what they made last year? More money had entered Peter Obi’s pocket under Tinubu than in any year for the sixty four years he has been on planet Earth.
And he was pandering to General Gowon. The same man he called “an enemy to be forgiven” just seven months ago firing General Gowon’s ninetieth birthday. What an inconsistent fellow.

“Peter Obi’s desperation has reached psychotic levels. A man who did not build a single school or standalone university waxing sanctimonious? If every other Governor was like Peter Obi, Nigeria would be worse than Afghanistan.

Imagine Peter Obi, who kept Anambra State Government funds in his bank so they could gather interest that went into his pocket (which is why he refused to build schools and hospitals), accusing the Tinubu government of stealing. Who should accuse whom?

“A man who did not build schools for the poor to go to school accusing a President who built schools and gave student loans for indigent students to go all the way to university of stealing? Tufiakwa!

“Peter, I am speaking directly to you. If you want protest, go to London and fetch your son, and then go and bring your daughter. Find your wife also. When your entire family is at the forefront carrying placards, then Nigerians will take you serious, until then, just know that you are just a Gbajue desperado!”
