Ex-PDP gov’ship aspirant joins APC in Edo

News Update

Former Edo PDP gubernatorial aspirant and ex-APC state chairman, Barr. Anselm Ojezua, has officially exited the PDP — a party he now describes as a social club for burials, birthdays and weddings with no room created for policy engagement, political strategy, or meaningful governance dialogue.

Suspended by the PDP for openly supporting Sen. Monday Okpebholo(now Edo governor) during the last gubernatorial race, Ojezua’s move to the APC is seen as a major blow to the PDP and a big win for Governor Okpebholo and President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election momentum.

He will be officially welcomed into the APC on May 6, 2025.
