Nigerian Breweries Plc has announced the appointment of Dr. Uzodinma Odenigbo as its new Corporate Affairs Director, effective May 1, 2025.
He succeeds Mrs. Sade Morgan, who has been elevated to a global role as Heineken’s Corporate Affairs Director for Africa, Middle East, and Africa.
The announcement was made by the company’s Managing Director, Hans Essaadi.
Since joining Nigerian Breweries in 2017, Odenigbo has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s Public, External, and Government Affairs, initially as Public Affairs Manager for Southern Nigeria before expanding his influence across the nation.
He has provided strategic guidance to Regional Corporate Affairs Managers and led key stakeholder engagement efforts.
A major highlight of his tenure includes his contribution to the 2024 Nigerian Breweries Business Recovery Plan, where he helped deliver a robust communications and stakeholder engagement framework that ensured zero business disruption and no adverse media coverage.
In July 2024, Odenigbo was selected for a Short Term Assignment (STA) as Corporate Affairs Director at Brarudi in Burundi.
During his tenure there, he led a successful corporate reputation campaign focused on sustainability, enhanced internal communications, and advanced key initiatives on exports, local sourcing, and tax advocacy within the East African Community.
He also strengthened the capabilities of the Corporate Affairs team at Brarudi and operationalised the 2025 CA Playbook to ensure continuity and results-driven performance.
Odenigbo holds an MBA and a PhD in Mass Communications and is known for his passion for emotional storytelling, exploring new horizons, and maintaining an active lifestyle.
