The training is scheduled to commence on March 31, 2025, at Ekiti State Skill Acquisition Centre, where participants will have access to modern facilities, experienced instructors, and a supportive learning atmosphere to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to compete in today’s competitive economy.

Speaking on the importance of the initiative, the Special Adviser on Special Education and Social Inclusion, Princess Agboola Adetoun, stated:”Empowering persons with disabilities through vocational training is a vital investment in the future of our state. His Excellency, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, envisions a future where PWDs are not just recipients of palliative measures but are given the skills and resources to become self-sufficient and independent. We encourage all eligible individuals to seize this opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to our economy.”

The programme will run in two batches over nine months, which will include 3-months industrial training.
