Man lands in trouble for allegedly attempting to use his nephew for ritual

THE police in Ekiti state have arrested a 23-year-old man identified as Solomon Fabiyi for allegedly attempting to use his little Nephew, Jomiloju, for money rituals.

Solomon was apprehended by a team of police officers in Ekiti state on February 14, 2025.

When interrogated, the suspect who hails from Kwara state but was born in Ekiti state said he was told by the native doctor that he should provide someone they can use to perform money rituals for him.

According to him, the native doctors told him that they would perform the sacrifice in such a way that the person would not die but live with an ailment for the rest of their life.

Solomon said he chose to present his nephew and that he intended to ensure that his nephew while battling the ailment, gets the education and ‘’good life” he deserves while he gets the money from the sacrifice.

He said he lives with Jomiloju’s mother and helps to look after Jomiloju.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, Sunday Abutu, said the suspect confessed to the crime and has been charged in court.
