Dear Vice-Chancellor,
CONDOLENCE MESSAGE ON THE TRAGIC LOSS OF FIVE STUDENTS OF FEDERAL UNIVERSITY LOKOJA
With deep sorrow, I write on behalf of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to extend heartfelt condolences to the management, staff, and students of the Federal University Lokoja over the unfortunate passing of five of your students.
The President received the news of this tragic loss with great sadness and shared the pain and grief that this has brought upon the university community, the bereaved families, and the entire nation. Losing such promising young Nigerians, who were on a path to fulfilling their dreams and contributing to the development of our country, is truly heartbreaking.
In this moment of grief, Mr. President urges the university community to take solace in the cherished memories of the departed souls and in the knowledge that their aspirations and legacy will not be forgotten.
The Federal Government remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of Nigerian students, and we will continue to work towards improving measures that protect our young minds in their pursuit of academic excellence.
On behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal Government of Nigeria, we pray for the peaceful repose of the departed and strength for their families and loved ones to bear this irreparable loss. Please accept our deepest sympathies.
