An anti-Isreal protest in New York City, United States has turned to violent clashes and chaotic scenes, according to reports and videos.
Fox News reports that the development comes after a group of anti-Israel demonstrators descended on an Orthodox Jewish neighborhood in Brooklyn on Tuesday.
According to the report, several fights broke out, with the agitators chanting “Zionists go to hell,” and waved Palestinian flags at the Borough Park protest.
The protest was organized by the anti-Israel “Pal-Awda” activist group.
The group said they were demonstrating against the sale of stolen Palestinian land.
According to the New York Post, one person was arrested.
Footage shows several skirmishes breaking, with a large knife on the ground as a person was hauled off by police. It wasn’t immediately clear if the knife was used.
The anti-Israel protesters chanted to the beat of a snare drum saying, “How many kids did you kill today?”
Some also flashed their middle fingers at the Jewish pedestrians while children on their way home from local yeshivas watched from their school bus windows.
