Amotekun Commander, Dr. Omoyele Bags ‘Living Hero Of Security World’ 2024/25 Award

LIVALSI Conferred Osun Amotekun Commander, Omoyele, With the “Living Hero of Security World,” Distinguished Noble and Security Expert of the Year 2024/2025

In a remarkable ceremony held at the Osun Amotekun Headquarters in Powerline, Osogbo, Osun State, the Life Value Awareness and Leadership Secure Initiative (LIVALSI), a prominent non-governmental organization based in Abuja, bestowed the prestigious “Living Hero of Security World” and “Distinguished Noble and Security Expert of the Year 2024/2025” awards upon Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps. The honor celebrates his exceptional contributions to security and his leadership excellence within a short span of time since his appointment to the Corps.

The award presentation ceremony was graced by distinguished figures, including Amb. Musibau Oladipo, President of LIVALSI, who commended the Osun Amotekun Corps for its outstanding role in tackling crime in the Southwest, especially in Osun State. Amb. Oladipo praised Dr. Omoyele for his proactive leadership and for working diligently with various stakeholders to curb crime, ensuring that the state remained safe and secure. He also highlighted the Corps’ significant accomplishments in suppressing criminal activities such as ritual killings and other forms of organized crime, which have plagued the region.

In his address, Amb. Oladipo remarked, “It is with my singular honor to welcome you all to this Arena of Honor & Celebration today, February 5th, 2025. I am incredibly delighted to be part of this historic moment as we honor a leader whose contributions to security have proven invaluable. Dr. Omoyele, you are a living legend and a symbol of dedication to your state and country.”

The Team President also scored Dr. Omoyele’s leadership qualities, describing him as a patriotic Nigerian, an achiever, an ambassador of peace, and a model leader whose accomplishments in the security world serve as a beacon of hope and a source of inspiration to many.

Dr. Omoyele’s profile, laden with significant achievements, demonstrates his deep commitment to security leadership. His innovative approaches to ensuring peace, strengthening the Amotekun Corps, and fostering a collaborative relationship with other security agencies have led to remarkable success in reducing criminal activity in Osun State. Under his leadership, crime rates, including issues related to Fulani herders, banditry, and ritual killings, have been significantly curtailed, ensuring the safety of the citizens.

Dr. Omoyele’s leadership has also contributed to the fulfillment of the security promises made by Governor Adeleke Ademola of Osun State. In a well-rounded speech, Amb. Oladipo lauded the Corps Commander for making Osun State a safer place for all its residents.

The event also featured a series of tributes from senior officers of the Osun Amotekun Corps. The Field Commander, Commander Olusoji Akanni, expressed deep gratitude towards Dr. Omoyele for the tremendous progress and success under his leadership. Akanni acknowledged the transformation that has taken place since Dr. Omoyele assumed command, noting the peace and order now prevailing in Osun State as a testament to his hard work.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Omoyele expressed immense gratitude for the recognition and emphasized the importance of honoring living legends. He also extended his appreciation to the Governor of Osun State, Senator Asiwaju Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for his unwavering support, including the provision of a state-of-the-art headquarters, the recruitment of 1,000 operatives, and essential logistical resources that have enhanced the Corps’ operational capacity.
