State Government Sanctions Olorile of Orile-Ifo For Public Assault

In an effort to maintain the dignity of individuals and protect the sanctity of revered traditional institutions, the Ogun State Government, led by Prince Dapo Abiodun, has suspended Oba Abdulsemiu Adewale Ogunjobi, the Olorile of Orile-Ifo, for six months due to his unbecoming conduct uncharacteristic of an Oba.

This decision was made following an invitation extended to the Kabiyesi and his victim by the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, for interrogation purposes.

This action became necessary due to the Kabiyesi’s reckless utterances and public misconduct, which were evident on social media and widely disseminated in the public domain.

Following the investigation conducted on the matter, the Kabiyesi has been suspended for six months and stripped of the paraphernalia of the stool of Olorile-Ifo, pending the determination of his culpability or otherwise regarding the allegations. The aforementioned decision was duly reached.
