No Bible, No Divine Health — Oyedepo Declares End to oppression

Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church, has emphasised the transformative power of prayer and fasting, declaring that those who neglect God’s Word cannot enjoy divine health.

Speaking at the End of Fast Prophetic Mantle Impartation Service at Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland, on Sunday, January 26, 2025, Oyedepo likened the Word of God to a service station that sustains believers, warning that ignoring it is akin to refusing to refuel a vehicle and expecting it to keep moving.

In his sermon titled “Engaging the Wonders of Prayer and Fasting 4A,” he urged worshippers to reach out and take delivery of the spiritual outcomes from the 21-day fasting and prayer programme about to conclude.

He stressed that faith without expectation is impotent, citing Proverbs 23:18, Habakkuk 2:3, and Hebrews 11:1 to highlight that supernatural manifestations require a strong sense of expectation.

“The last day is everybody’s day,” he declared. “This is your day. God is drawing conclusions in your favour today. The hand of the wicked shall no longer be seen in your life. In the name of Jesus, you will never see the oppressors again. Your night seasons are declared free from satanic interference—no more nightmares, no more struggling for survival, no more roaming the streets in confusion.”

He referenced Luke 4:14, stating that Jesus returned from fasting with divine power, and believers should expect a similar increase in authority. “God’s agenda for your life will open up,” he assured.

Oyedepo explained that fasting clears spiritual blockages and grants deeper insight into God’s Word, adding that divine health is a natural outcome of spiritual discipline.

Oyedepo concluded by reaffirming that a life sustained by the Word of God is immune to spiritual and physical afflictions.

“You can’t ignore the filling station and expect your car to remain on the highway,” he said. “God’s Word is the service station for our health—don’t ignore it.”
