Ondo Governorship Election: Amotekun, Vigilante Corps Banned From Participating

THE Inspector-General of Police Mr. Kayode Egbetokun has cautioned against political interference and acts of violence during this Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo State.

Mr. Egbetokun also banned the Western Nigeria Security Network popularly known as Amotekun and Vigilante Corps, among others, from participating in the exercise.

He assured the public of the Police Force’s unwavering readiness to ensure a peaceful and orderly election process across all eighteen Local Government Areas, two hundred and three Electoral Wards, and three thousand nine hundred and thirty-three Polling Units in the state.

About seventeen political parties will be participating in the election.
